In-Person Class: Icing Intensive (September 21st @ 11am)

In this private in-person class, you will learn the essentials of making royal icing. Decorating beautiful, show-stopping cookies begins with the basic skill of knowing the three different icing consistencies: Stiff, Piping, and Flood. This class is a great foundation for beginning cookiers, and also for those wishing to take their skills to the next level!

The class is approximately 4 hours long and is hands-on! Together, we will go over the step-by-step process of making royal icing, discuss the different consistencies and what they are used for, coloring your icing (you pick your color palette!), and properly filling your piping bags.

You will also learn helpful tips for achieving that coveted “perfect puff” when piping numbers and letters, how to make royal icing transfers, how to flawlessly flood your cookies and bring the icing right to the edge, and many more tricks including troubleshooting common decorating problems like craters.

Class is held on location in my residential cottage bakery at 12365 Acacia Avenue, Chino, CA. Due to the preparation of this class, all sales are final. If you can’t make it, you may transfer your seat to someone else. Must be 18 years of age to participate.

You don’t need to have any prior experience to take this class. So, come join me in my cookie kitchen, and let’s have some fun!
